“Go and make disciples of all nations”

Matthew 28:18-20

“Then Jesus came to them and said,

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

Peace and good to all.

If I may share my insights on the above Gospel of Matthew.

“Go and make disciples of all nations.. “ such a powerful command from Jesus given to his disciples, invoking the authority given to Him both in heaven and on earth.

But in my own understanding, that powerful command was also addressed to us. To you and me.  To those who accepted and have commenced to follow Jesus, we have to go and make disciples of all nations, teaching the Biblical truths about Jesus and his teachings and promise of salvation and eternal life.

But how do we do this? By spreading the word of God. By testifying on how Jesus has touched our lives. By showing acts of kindness to others which mimic the works of Jesus.  We were all created for a purpose. God has a divine plan for us. Sometimes, we could not understand what is it yet, but through prayers, it will all be revealed to us. To others, some have been revealed but they refuse to embrace them and continue to deny the revelation.

As followers of Christ, we can spread the word of God in different ways. We can be like the evangelists who have focused their lives on preaching and spreading the word of God. We still have them now, like the priests, pastors, and leaders of many churches.   We can also share the good news of the Lord to others whom we come across with at any point in time particularly the unbelievers . We can share with them our personal encounter with Christ and testify about Jesus’ mystery in our lives. This in order for them to be enlightened and soon to be converted and to be saved.

We can be the someone who can save an unbeliever by sharing the good news of our Lord. We can do all these things depending on what is the plan of God to us, but whatever His plan for us, just remember that when we do all these things of teaching and proclaiming the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ, in accordance with His plan for us, He is with us always ,and that is enough for us to do what He commanded us to do.
