” You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”
2 Corinthians 3:3
Peace and good to all.
If my share my insights on the the above verse from 2 Corinthians.
True followers of Christ have a mission to share the good news of the Lord. We need to share the gospel of salvation to others particularly to the unbelievers, in order that they may know Christ and His promise of salvation and eternal life. We do this to glorify Him, to bear fruits, because it is written in the Bible, and, in order to help others to know Jesus who saves – we have to reach out to those who are lost.
We share the gospel or the good news through our own testimony in life, we can testify on how Christ have touched our lives — that, the joy with Him is immeasurable. We can also lend our ears to those in trouble and encourage them to the way leading to Jesus – – that, there is peace in Him. And, of course by doing Christlike works and deeds; and, in these days by sharing our understanding of Jesus through the social media. We do this sharing because we are the vessels of Christ. We are His mediums so that others may know and accept Him.
And, when we share the gospel to others, we do not need resume’ where our full credentials are written, we do not need a recommendation letter from anyone, because we, are the “letters” already that came from Christ. Because when we speak about Christ and share His gospel and, His good news to others, we are already the walking appointment letter or walking recommendation letter of Jesus. I praise the Lord for this.
My friends, when we deliver the message of our Lord Jesus Christ as written in the Bible and as sealed by the Holy Spirit who resides in our hearts to others, we do not need a letter of recommendation from Jesus. Because the moment that we have accepted Him as our savior and as our Lord, the moment that we have been born again in spirit, Christ Himself is inking in our hearts so that the words we preach about Him as sealed by the Holy Spirit, is with Christ authority already. Isn’t it amazing, how Jesus trust us?
Our authority to share the gospel of salvation as taught by Christ, is not in paper or tablets written in ink. It is in our hearts where Christ recommendation for us to share His good news of salvation is written. We are the official recommendation of Christ to others.
