The Plans of Man and the Plans of God..

“The LORD foils the plans of the nations;

he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.

But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever,

the purposes of his heart through all generations.”

Psalm 33:10-11

Peace and good to all.

If my share my thoughts on the above passage from the Book of Psalm.

Who would have thought among the people who know me that I would be sending them Bible verse and sometimes reflections on the verse, daily? I never planned it. I never thought of it actually. But, probably I was called. Perhaps,  I was called to share the word of God in my own way, so others would read them and somehow, in God’s grace, the message would reach their hearts and touch the core of their persons. I don’t know, but am doing this because I want to share the word. I praise the Lord for this.

We all have plans in our lives, mostly mundane plans: to get richer, to travel more, to acquire more wealth, and even to conquer the world. But these plans if not in accordance with God’s plan for us, they would just remain in the drawing table and would not be a reality. God decides what plans and resources succeed. Yes, we may plan, but God’s plan prevails.

Remember the story of Paul, it was not his plan to spread the word of God,  he was actually a christian persecutor, but he was called, and he became one of the greatest apostles of Christ. This means that  God has an important purpose and plan for each of us, God has prepared something for us even before we were woven in our mother’s womb. We just have to open our hearts to hear God’s calling.

In the busyness of the world we live in, we often forget to ask what is God’s plan for our life. In our fear to change the status quo of our lives, we dare not to ask what is our role in God’s masterplan, or what God want’s us to do. The effect of this is the more we feel this sense of emptiness rather than the fulfillment that God wants us to experience.

My friends, our Lord God has a grand design, a master plan, where each of us will be called to play a part of, in order that our lives will have a sense of direction, purpose and meaning. We are born for a purpose. We may plan to do this or to do that, but it is always God’s purpose that will prevail.
